BEHIND THE GLASS

Tracy Wolff

My relationship with glass began in the 1990s through stained glass and has evolved through years of continued study with leading instructors in the glass art field. This foundation has allowed my practice to expand across multiple disciplines, including torch-worked glass, acrylic painting, and silversmithing, which I thoughtfully integrate into my fused glass work.

Currently, I work primarily in kiln-formed glass, a medium that has long captured my imagination for its balance of structure and unpredictability.

Rooted in experimentation and process, my approach embraces both intention and chance. Each piece is carefully engineered, yet open to the quiet dialogue that occurs within the kiln. The moment of opening it—after hours of heat and transformation—remains central to my practice, revealing the final collaboration between artist and material.

I invite you to explore my collection of glass art and functional pieces, where form, color, and light come together, and to discover a work that resonates on a personal level.
